Straight from my inbox comes this gem from Videogram. A tune that gives a fond nod to the Friday 13th series, Camp Blood is a great mix of the disco theme in part 3 and Michael Jackson’s thriller. Emanating the theme and atmosphere of the movie franchise, this tune really sets the tone for horror inspired music.

Top horror website Bloody Disgusting has dubbed this track “perfect for your Halloween party” and the franchise for Friday 13th itself has summed it up as “pure gold.” I personally agree with these, as the track is intense. I’m a huge fan and I know that it’ll certainly be on my Halloween playlist from now on. The tune is definitely a ‘nudge nudge wink wink’ to those who enjoy the movies, and according to Magnus who is the face behind Videogram, it’s a tribute to something he loves as a horror fan. Magnus wanted the tribute to come across as good as possible and it’s definitely worked! Considering myself a new subscriber from now!

On a personal note, it feels great to finally sit and write a piece for the blog again, it’s been so long and I’ve been flooded at work and at college so having some spare time to write has been a god send. I’m sorry that this blog has been a little derelict for a while, but I will be trying to write when I can. Thank you to Magnus at Videogram for sending me this amazing piece, it’s really taken a lot of weight off my shoulders. If you’d like to hear more from me, you can follow me on Twitter, Facebook and Bloglovin. If you want to help support The Scream Review, I’m also on Patreon.
